Villa Allegra by Oppenheim Architecture + Design

We had a wonderful tour this morning (organised by the Courtauld Alumni Association) of the Villa Allegra, the Oppenheim’s stunning house in Miami. Designed by the owners (Oppenheim Architecture + Design) eight years ago, the house itself is a monument to clear, thoughtful architectural design. The large pillar seen here contains an innovative outdoor shower running the whole length of the pillar. It has no ceiling so the sky above is visible to the occupant, a wonderful concept on a clear Miami night!

You can see the amazing pieces of collectible design spread around the magnificent living room – a wonderful ‘Teddy Bear Chair’ by the Campana brothers (number 20 in a limited edition first shown by Murray Moss in 2004), a Marcel Wanders ‘Crochet’ Chair and a glorious ‘Blossom’ chandelier made of Swarovski crystals by Tord Boontje.

We can source work by these designers for you. Contact us with inquiries.
